Biography
Born on 20th February 1982, Dr. Prodip Kumar Biswas completed his SSC from Dhaka Collegiate School (1997) and HSC from Government Science College (1999). He earned his MBBS in 2005 from Dhaka National Medical Institute Hospital (under University of Dhaka) and his MS in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2017 from the National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute, under University of Dhaka.
In 2023, he completed the prestigious FPCS Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery from Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Heart Care, under Maharashtra University, Mumbai, India — and the same year became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), USA.
With over 15 years of clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery, he specializes in complex pediatric procedures including the Nikaidoh operation, TOF, TAPVC, valve repair, AP window, and single ventricle palliation, along with PDA, ASD, PAPVD, VSD, MICS and adult congenital heart surgery.
